I Climbed A Mountain

I climbed a mountain when I was twelve
I reached for the sky and found myself
I made a deal with the clouds floating by
I’d see a sunrise everyday of my life
And when I heard those voices on the wind
I knew I’d never be lonely again
Cause I climbed a mountain when I was twelve
And I reached for the sky and found myself

I cried a river when times were tough
I broke every rule falling in love
I close my eyes I turned by back and ran away
I searched my soul out in the dark and found my way
I lost my chip I found my edge and learned how to live
I can’t forget but I made room to forgive
Cause I cried a river when times were tough
And I broke every rule falling in love

I saw this world through an angel’s eyes
The night this life gave me a child
The light was pure the road was clear of mystery
Ten tiny fingers fuelled every breath in me
Life is good love is real hope is there
And we are here to make a difference somehow somewhere
Now I see this world through an angel’s eyes
One winter’s night I was blessed with a child
He gave me a child
